Tuesday

Sorry for last night's rant.  I have been holding that in for so long and it finally came out.  Felt a lot better after.

Rainy day here.  The lightening was magnificent tonight.  I still rode my bike to work, just managing to avoid all the rain.  Really a good day.

Went to the ear doctor.  Told him about my trip and got all kinds of stuff to help my ear.  He gave me an Rx for antibiotics which are the same ones for traveler's diarrhea, so I am covered for anything.

Mika just came in the window.  She was outside when the rain started.  Never saw a cat move so fast to get back inside.  Hahaha.

Anyhow, not much else happening right now.  Still need to take the dog out, then I will hit the hay.  Big day tomorrow to meet with all the new students.  Always hate that.  I have to go and uy all kinds of food to feed them all.  Thank goodness for business credit cards.

Have a great rest of the week, my friends.

No need to apologise to me, I understand completely and would think it probably helped you to talk about it. I wish it would rain here, it hasn't for weeks now and have had to water the garden and lawn and top up the pool. Looks like summer is going to be dry as usual and hot. Sounds like you have covered all areas for your trip after the visit to the doctor so that is extra good, you sound all organised. Does Mika go in and out of your apartment, what a good cat not to roam too far away. Hope work and all the new students have not been too taxing. Are you still having Greg and Allie for dinner Friday night? Whats on the menu? I hope it will be an enjoyable evening for you. Love Julie xxx

Thanks, Julie. Yeah, I needed to vent. Unfortunately, here it has been raining for days. Am kind of tired of it.

Yes, Mika goes in and out, but never strays too far. Maybe she has images of when she was abandoned, pregnant, as a young cat. She knows when she has it good.

Yes, They are both coming for dinner on Friday. Baked ham with sweet potatoes and a veggie. Greg loves baked ham with pineapple.

Love to you to, Julie. Gosh, we have to get together one day. I think you and I would hit it off.

Love ya. Belinda

When the weather is off here for days on end it makes me feel "down in the dumps" or depressed (not badly) as some would put it. I belive in the UK there is actually a conditions (can't remember the name, is it SADS maybe) that is related to depression and the weather. Mika sounds lovely, I agree she probably knows what side her bread is buttered on as it is put. I love baked ham. and sweet potatoes are a real favourite, the red ones here are called Kumara and I love them as does Robert and Sienna. For Sienna I roast one in the oven until it becomes caramalised, let it cool, remove the skin and mash it with avocado, it smells terrific and she loves it. Saturday tomorrow and I couldn't wait to leave work today as my boss was really getting to me. He is a very difficult man and hard to put up with at times. He pays me very handsomely but sometimes he is a bit much, like today. I trust your dinner tonight goes very well and you all enjoy each others company, I'm sure you will have a great time. I suppose I will get to Canada one day, we definitely have plans to travel extensively but not for a few years yet. You can always come out here, you would be most welcome, we have lots of space here at home. Where we live is quite close to a lot. A flight to Melbourne only costs $59 A, about the same to Brisbane. We live close to the wine region in NSW, 1 1/2 hours north of Sydney. Lauren lives at Kingscliff which is an hour away by plane and about 8 - 9 hours by car. Kingscliff is about 10 minutes from Tweed Heads and the Gold Coast in Queensland which is across from the Whitsundays, all very handy really. As I said you are most welcome to come sometime if you wish and I look forward to meeting up with you eventually. The boys only live ten minutes away from us. Ross and his brother Neil also have a holiday unit right on the coast about 40 minutes from here. It was their Mum and Dads and has been passed down to them. If you can handle the 46 stairs to the unit it is a great place for a holiday, ha. Have a great Friday and enjoy your this evening. Julie xoxox
